CRISS CROSS, APPLESAUCE

Sean Loch

Acrylic, charcoal, spray paint and collage on canvas
183 × 153 cm
Original artwork

CRISS CROSS, APPLESAUCE brings together Sean Loch’s instinctive mark-making and bold graphic language in a large-scale work that feels both playful and immediate.

A vivid red form dominates the canvas against a layered, softly worked ground, punctuated by flashes of green. The simplicity of the central motif belies the physicality of the surface, where acrylic, charcoal, spray paint and collage build texture and depth.

At 183 × 153 cm, the work has a strong architectural presence while retaining the rawness and spontaneity central to Loch’s practice.
